The story begins in the early 20th century, when the people of Serbia user herbs and traditional medicine to treat their ailments.

We’ve inherited some remedies used in our families that we, ourselves, knew to be beneficial, so we decided to market them.

That is how BIOMELEM came to be.

1989 BIOMELEM was founded as an independent trade shop for herb remedies and cosmetics in ex-Yugoslavia
1990 Our REVITABION – anti-hair loss, seborrhea and dandruff spray – hit the stores for the first time
1990 First newspaper articles in: Politika, Politika ekspres, Ilustrovana Politika, TV Revija, zagrebačka Mila, sarajevsko Oslobođenje, UNA, AS...
1991 First registered seal; REVITABION becomes a registered trade mark
1991 First radio and TV commercials air on RTS and Radio Belgrade
1992 REVITABION spray was applied for a patent
1992 Start of ecological production, using the Ministry of Environment approved technologies
1992 TV commercial on RTS – “Ah, I’m Losing My Hair” ("AH GUBIM KOSU"); REVITABION becomes one of the best selling hair products
1993 REVITABION spray was patented
1994 First herb-based Bioshampoo was produced, as an additional care combined with REVITABION
1994 TV commercial on RTS: “Makes Your Hair Stand on End” ("DA VAM SE DIGNE KOSA NA GLAVI") which promoted REVITABION as a way of fighting hair loss (Androgenic Alopecia)
1997 REVITABION and Bioshampoos were attested in the Czech Republic
1998 REVITABION and Bioshampoos were attested in Bulgaria
1999 REVITABION and Bioshampoos are marketed under a common slogan: “Bring Vitality Back to Your Hair” ("Vratite vitalnost Vašim vlasima") on RTS and internationally
2000 BIOMELEM Paris was registered
2000 5 new Bioshampoos, new collection "BIOSHAMPOO"
2001 REVITABION and Bioshampoos were attested in Paris, to be marketed to the EU
2002 REVITABION and Bioshampoos with new active substances which preserve and strengthen hair and hair roots
2003 REVITABION and Bioshampoos commercials on RTS “For Strong Hairs” ("ZA JAKE DLAKE")
2005 REVITABION and Bioshampoos of the 5th generation that treat 5 hair and scalp problems
2006 CAMPAIGN on RTS: "REVITABION and BIOSHAMPOOS 5 with 5 bioactive substances against hair loss"
2007 REVITABION and Bioshampoos with new bioactive substances which treat the hair roots and fight hair loss
2007 REVITABION and Bioshampoos TV commercial on RTS: “Change from the Roots” ("PROMENA IZ KORENA") 2008 New, second generation of Bioshampoos hits the market

2010 Biomelem organizes the Contest for the Most Beautiful Hair in Serbia

Since 1989 to date, BIOMELEM’s products, REVTABION and BIOSHAMPOOS have become synonymous to anti-hair loss, seborrhea and dandruff products. Hundreds of thousands of customers have tried and used BIOMELEM’s products. In our archives there are many cases where, through the use of REVITABION and Bioshampoos, Androgenic Alopecia, related to male sexual hormone testosterone, ALOPECIA AREATA, or spot boldness, and other forms of Alopecia, were prevented. Our statistics show that the REVITABION anti-hair loss, seborrhea and dandruff spray gives the best results in fighting these problems with people with oily skin and scalp. Our story begins with our family and the Serbian tradition of collecting herbs. We don’t, nor do we wish to, know where it ends. It continues by combining tradition with modern science and technology and we will aim to ceaselessly continue on, improve and embellish our story and share it with You.
